NEW TIME FOR CLUB MANGA

Starting next week, Club Manga will meet on Thursdays @ 6:00 pm instead of Tuesdays. So the next club meeting is THURSDAY JANUARY 31 @ 6:00 pm. (Hint: the cat clocks symbolize the time change.)

Also, a big order of Fruits Basket came in.

Don't forget to stop by the library for hot chocolate on Hot Chocolate Day this Saturday.

Has anyone else besides Katherine read Gakuen Alice? Because I'm not loving it either and TokyoPop is saying it's the next Fruits Basket...

And hello & thanks to Blue for his very insightful reviews, especially of Saiyuki & Bus Gamer.

DEATH NOTEs

Just ordered Death Note How to Read 13. Viz's pub date is February 19, 2008. And we put in an order for lots more manga & graphic novels, then realized a couple of things had been left off. So if anyone wants something added, now's the time.

Plan for next Manga/Anime Club meeting: Make plans for Halloween decorations, bookmarks, etc. More pinatas seem like a good idea.

Stayed up very late last night to watch Saiyuki Requiem. I liked it. The animation for the movie is much better than for the TV series. In fact, I liked it so much that I started started all over to listen to the seiyu commentaries. But. Not.

And in the too much information category: Wikipedia has a list of "notable voice actors" here:

Club Manga Meets

Club Manga meeting this Tuesday, April 3 from 6:00-7:30 pm. We'll have to take down the Club Manga/Anime Club display case this weekend, probably on Saturday, so if you have stuff in the case, come and get it. Otherwise, I'll box it up and give it back to you at the meeting.

Also, those of you who promised to bring stuff back from ICon, well...we'll be waiting.

A final note of joy -- someone told me that Saiyuki Pirates of the Caribbean had been taken off YouTube. Not true, not true.

So I can continue to watch it and laugh hysterically -- every time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzIdI7_Y2LE.

Also, a good report on what went on at the NY Comicon here: http://www.animeforum.com/articles/3-NY-Comic-Con-2007.php
